I believe he was in his 80's, did his own stunts apparently too in the Star Wars movies. Not bad eh!

A lot of those old Hammer horrors pop up on the Horror movie channel,always worth watching for the novelty, they come from a different age, very tame by today's standards. Lee, Peter Cushing, all part of the backdrop to our lives.

Let's not forget he was also a member of the precursor to the SAS, and experienced intense action in world war 2. Great man.

Christopher Lee was a wonderful actor and for me the best Dracula bar none, Hammer House Legend. R.I.P Sir.

Used to love the old Dracula films as a kid and always remember the old style Dracula cards you got with bubble-gum I think back in the 70's with ridiculous quotes on them like "I ordered steak not stake!". Wish I had kept them all but you never do.
One of my favourite movies with him was with Peter Cushing in The Hound of the Baskervilles. Great Christmas Day viewing years ago... RIP Dracukla, Scaramanga, Wicker Man et all.

You can add musician to that long CV list as he brought out a metal album at the age of 90!
A movie will be made on his life, could see McKellen being the lead possibly.

A life well lived and part of my growing up. Hammer horror films were one of the few nailed on tits oot highlights of my early days. RIP.
